Patent specification DE3611468 describes a variant of a support device intended for useto control the felling direction of trees in connection with tree felling. Detailed description of the inventionReferring to the gurus, a folding converter 1 is shown in accordance with the present inventionpatent application. The rectifier comprises at least one support device 2. The support device is intendedto be connected to the ground 3 and to the tree 4.
The construction of the support device 2 may vary within the scope of the opening tank. In itexemplary embodiments, the support device 2 comprises at least one angled support element 5comprising at least one first support part 6 and at least one second support part 7 which via at least one joint 8are rotatably arranged relative to each other. In the exemplary embodiment, the device comprisesat least one locking device with which the first support part 6 and the second support part 7 can be lockedat least two different mutual angles. The angular values where locking of the parts can each othermay vary within the scope of protection of the present patent application. In itIn the exemplary embodiment, the maximum angle is between the first support partand the other part in the range 115 to 155 degrees. In the preferred embodiment,this about 135 degrees. However, this does not exclude that the angle between the first support member andthe second support member may deviate from said angular range and said angle.
The first part 6 comprises at least one elongate body 9 which at its one end 10 comprisesat least one connecting part 11. At its other end 12, i.e. the free end, it comprisesfirst part at least one abutment surface 13, or alternatively at least one abutment point, towards the tree 4or against the ground 3. The contact surface may consist of at least one foot 14, bracket or the like.
The second part 7 comprises at least one elongate body (member) 15 which at its one end 16comprises at least one connecting part 17. At its other end 18, i.e. the free end,the first part comprises at least one abutment surface 19, alternatively at least one abutment point,against the ground 3 or against the tree 4. The contact surface can consist of at least one foot 20, bracket orsimilar.
The trail 8 may consist of a trail suitable for the purpose or another for the purpose previouslyknown type of joint 8. In the exemplary embodiment, the first part is 5 and the secondthe part rotatably arranged relative to each other via the axis of rotation 21.
The tree felling inverter further comprises at least one locking device (cutting power generating device)22 or similar. In the exemplary embodiment, the locking device 22 comprisesat least one third support member 23 and at least one winch 24 or the like. In the exemplaryIn the embodiment, the winch 24 winds up an elongate member 25 such as a rope, strap, abands (sperm bands or the like) or the like on a drum 26, roll or the like.
The winch 24 preferably includes at least one backstop or the like preventing line whichunwound on the drum involuntarily unwound. In alternative embodiments, the winch 24consists of any other sperm device suitable for the purpose or the creation of sperm forcedevice.
When using the tree felling converter 1 when felling, the tree felling converter 1 is initially moved tothe tree to be felled. The tree felling converter 1 is connected to the tree and placed on the ground,after which the elongate body (member) 15 of the sperm device, such as a sperm band, is connected aroundthe trunk of the tree, after which a clamping force is applied to the tree trunks. The clamping force is applied throughthat the elongate member is clamped with the winch. Then a sawing of the tree beginstrunk, after which sawing of the tree trunk takes place and that the clamping force in the clamping band if necessaryregulated.
Referring to Figure 2, a second application of the present one is shownthe device. In the application, this is used to cut trunks on root rollers, wind traps andsimilar. The device is especially useful for returning root rollers to the ground.
The tree trap rectifier is moved to the wind trap to be cut, whereby the tree trap rectifier is connected tothe trunk of the tree, after which the sperm band is connected around the trunk of the tree. After the sperm bandconnected to the tree trunks, the winch is operated so that clamping force in the guard band is created, whichaffects the tree trunk. After a clamping force has been created, sawing of the tree stars is performed: atneeds, the clamping force in the clamping band is adjusted. When the tree has been felled, the deflector is releasedthe trunk of the tree or the like after which the operation can be repeated an arbitrary number of timesother wind traps.
Referring to Figure 3, a third application of the use of the present invention is shownthe invention. In this application, the device is used to lift logs, trunks andsimilar already cut from the tree stump. When used, the tree felling converter is moved tothe tree trunk to be lifted. At the position for lifting, the tree felling rectifier is folded andis placed standing on the abutment surface 13 of the tree felling converter and the abutment surface 19. Then it is connectedthe elongate members of the winch around the stem, after which a lifting of the stem can be started.

Advantages of the present invention.
With the present invention a number of advantages are achieved. The most obvious is that themthe present construction solves at least one of the problems set forth in the background. With itthe present construction achieves, for example, a construction which allows a gooddirectional impact on the fallen tree. With the present invention it is possible tocut root rollers and return the root towards the ground. With the present inventionit is also possible to lift cut trunks.
